Dr. Velaga Sarath Babu is a distinguished academician and researcher in the field of Civil Engineering, having completed his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees from reputed premier universities in India. He brings over twenty years of teaching experience, having served in leading universities and academic institutions across the country. His teaching portfolio spans undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, covering a wide range of core and advanced civil engineering courses. He has actively participated in the research community by attending and presenting technical papers at numerous national and international conferences and symposiums. During his academic career, he has been the recipient of Merit Scholarships and the prestigious GATE (India) Scholarship in recognition of his academic excellence. He has successfully guided a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, including supervision of several PhD scholars. In addition to his academic experience, he possesses six years of professional site experience in the construction sector, contributing significantly to practical civil engineering projects. He has published numerous research articles in reputed SCI and Scopus-indexed journals. He has delivered several keynote and invited lectures at international conferences and academic forums. He is a Life Member of the Indian Roads Congress (IRC), India.
He currently serves as In-Charge of the Cement and Research & Development Cell, playing a key role in advancing research and innovation activities in cement & concrete. He is an active reviewer for several high-impact international and national journals, including Construction and Building Materials, Journal of Material Cycles and Waste Management, ACI Journals, Materials Today Proceedings (MAT), Man-Tech Journals and other reputed journals. He also serves as an Editorial Board Member for MAT Journals, Man-Tech Journals and National journals- New Delhi. Additionally, he contributes to academia through active membership in various university-level academic and administrative committees. He is also an active planner, designer and consultant for a wide range of civil engineering projects, bridging the gap between academic research and industry practice.

Concrete Technology, Recycled Aggregates, Sustainable Construction Materials, Cement-Based Materials, Utilization of Industrial By-products and Waste Materials in Cement and Concrete, Engineering Materials, Self-Compacting Concrete, High-Strength and High-Performance Concrete, Highway Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning and Civil Engineering Materials.
