Esmat M A Hamzawy is a Professor, Emeritus at National Research Center, Egypt. He received his Master's degree in Mineralogy, petrology in 1992 from Cairo University and his Ph.D degree in Mineralogy in 1996 from Ain Shams University. Main fields of interest are Examination, exploration, and analysis of primary raw materials, glasses, glass-ceramics and -ceramics, Phase Formation, Microstructure, Properties and Performance of Ceramic materials, specially crystallized glasses, Preparation of glass-ceramic based on primary raw materials, Preparation of some composites based on glass, glass-ceramics and ceramic materials,etc.
